Today I’m putting my fears aside and making a small contribution to help take the knee of the necks of black people worldwide. An emotional me made this song 5 years ago and quite honestly I don’t even remember the context or specific event that triggered it. Who can keep track anymore? I’ve been numb to all the news but here we are again and this time in particular it hit quite close to home and across the border. Putting myself in the shoes of the people and families that have suffered because of racism and police brutality is a heavy feeling of sorrow and I need to do something about it, even if it’s just a little bit.
Police Brutality is available right now on Bandcamp (link in bio) and any proceeds from the track will go to the Minnesota Freedom Fund and/or split between another legit fund I can find locally. This is on top of the $20 donation I’ve already made. If you haven’t already donated, please help out and donate, share this, and speak up.
